The KitchenAid skillet has a special patented interior, treated with a ceramic primer to harden the aluminum surface, making the nonstick coating much more durable. The skillet is constructed of aluminum which provides even heating second only to copper. Additional features include a handle covered in a matching, heat-resistant silicone that offers cooks a firm grip. It's riveted to the skillet for added strength and is oven-safe to 400 degrees.
